Data away getting married, still working on physics

There’s a reason for the unusually long gap between builds: wedding here in the tropics tomorrow, then honeymoon somewhere else. I’ll be back in business in a couple of weeks - although I’m still sneaking in some work on the laptop when ideas for the new collision response algorithms strike!

Physics sim on the mind

UPDATE: Thanks everyone for the well wishes and very kind comments! We’re done and married, and will enjoy the relaxing latter half of our two weeks now. ;)

    Ooohh, that was good news, both for you and for the rest of the world, because now we know you haven’t been hit by a car, and you yourself haven’t been hit by a car, so everyone’s happy. :) Anyway, now that we know there wont be a new build out in some time, we will hopefully be able to wait for a couple of weeks, so everything’ll get much softer down here.

    It’s really funny when stuff like this pops up, especially since we don’t know a lot about other people’s real lives. You tend to only think of what the person is known for rather than the actual person. We develope a false inmage of someone who sits around and codes CC all day, when this is in all reality very unlikely.

    Interesting tidbit of information for you, Data, and possibly your Wife:

    The “Mariachi” singers in Mexico, originally got their names from the French! These bands would come and play for money at French Weddings. Marriage, pronounced Frenchly, sounds like “Marrie-ajjuh”, and the Mexicans couldn’t pronounce this, and so said “Mariachi.”

    Just thought that you might enjoy that, next time you’re in Mexico, listening to the music…… ;)

    Hello, I’m here to tell you what i think is the meaning of peace and how it’s the fuel for greed. To me there are many meanings to the word peace, however the main meaning is, simply put, bliss. Peace is a complete and utter heaven on earth. That’s the definition at least. See the problem is the idea of peace itself. Peace is a heaven on earth. So i guess the question that arises is, form who’s point of view? Every one on earth is different. So doesn’t every one on earth have a different view of peace? I could think that a world of mass destruction is peace. Or i could think that a world of nothingness and whit is peace. But no matter what they think is peace, people just mostly want it. Greed is a very annoying emotion that has been given to humans. And every one that has enough courage and enough greed will try to go out and get their version of peace, but with millions of people on earth. There is going to be quite a few people who are going to try and get there version of peace, and thus leading to conflict.
    Conflict is the never ending fuel for war, entertainment, and life. Conflict is the base of entertainment. Therefore, the more conflict the more entertainment. But thats is a problem. For the highest point of conflict will always lead to anger. And as any one who has ever actually communicated with some one else knows, anger leads to violence. Summed up that says. The more conflict the more violence, the more violence the more consumers.more consumers means more money. the more money the more power. the more power… the closer the idea of someones peace comes within reach.
    Unfortunately, that leads to people thinking that ” If i go to war. It’ll be fun. And I’ll get to shoot people.” They will usually stop thinking at that. But if they would just think a little more, past the greed and entertainment that has blinded them; they’d remember that they might die out on that field. But alas, they do not. They join filling the last requirement for the army to go to war. And obtain the leaders idea of peace. Because the only reason for war is a bunch of high power people trying to get bliss. Trying to get peace. and i kinda find it funny…

    …That peace is the cause for war.

    ya i know it sucks. but i would say not half bad for a 12 year old who has 5 personalties.

    What? Promostarr? How can you say this? Cortex Command is a community of people who love a game (+ the game itself). All the modders are crazy because they know that all mods made now won’t be useful when next version comes out.
    And I designed some maps that I’m waiting to do with the level editor since sixty days ago…

    Whoa… I just had an awesome idea… we should make a Cortex Command GIF gallery, where people can submit their CC GIFs for display! Even better, I think we should have a Cortex Command Wiki. That way there would be a place to put the modding tutorials and other stuff that’s starting to build up in the forum stickies… and I suppose a page for GIFs could be made there as well.

    @Sylverone, we’ve allready tried, but for some reason people keep deleting it. Someone believes that only /Complete/ games (I.e not beta-builds) are worthy of being put onto Wikipedia. Check the CC Wiki topic in the forums for more info. But yea, a .Gif gallery would be a nice idea. Some of those avatars are just hilarius.

    Anyway if you’re bored out of hell waiting for the next build, you could always try earning the 600 top 20 highscores on N http://www.harveycartel.org/metanet/n_v1pc.zip . Unless data gets a crise cardiaque, the next build will be out about a year before you’re done. However, it’s not a good thing to do if you allready are thinking of killing yourself.
