We have been working on the next build, but with the holidays going on, it’s been a bit slower than expected. Ideally we wanted to push out number 20 by now, but it’s just not done yet. We know you are eager to get more content, but half-baked cookies just don’t taste as good as something done proper, amirite?! (ok, terrible analogy)

I’m loving this game so far. I think it has crazy go nuts potential. Very well done from a programmers perspective, and great fun from a gamers perspective. It’s just endlessly modifiable, the physics are just too cool, and the gameplay is a blast.
I bought the regular edition, not because I’m lazy or that I’m not supportive, but because I’m dirt poor. I will buy your support edition when I can.
I like that it uses SDL, too. A lot of 2D win32 games should really use SDL, but don’t. The engine’s framework is well conceived, and I like the use of an actor system, it’s very flexible. The pie menus are very good, I think they are both slick looking and easier/faster to use than keyboard or list menus.
The gameplay is very erratic, something I like in this type of mad scramble war strategy game. I would love to see online play once the campaign game itself is complete. Also, there’s nothing more fun than dropping some stuff in a drop ship, flying over to a cluster of enemies, or maybe a big bunker opening, and self destructing it.
This game is great! Keep up the good work!

Yes. Not enough game developers have the attitude you have towards their creations. Too many of them release it too early. Nintendo was brave to push the date of Smash bros Brawl from December to February, and I commend them for it because it shouldn’t be released till it’s done.
Now, I commend you for doing so, despite that (I can only assume that) you have likely taken some flak, and had a few people bitch and complain. So, I pressure you to do the opposite, and I challenge you do the best job you can of putting this game together. Oh, also, I tried the pre-release. I like it, it’s a clever game. Data, you should really find another security system, because your great game used to work on linux under wine perfectly with no problems, it even ran better then it did on windows, but now with build 19 it does not even run im assuming this is because of your registering system, because that is the only thing that has changed sense build 18.

Think about Bootcamp Hiro since you get an Intel Mac.
Tell me why Mac Os does have anti-virus if everybody say “there is no virus on Mac”. This is obviously false, it’s just a question of market.
There is no point to hit less percentage of people using Mac than larger amount with Pc or Linux.
Both side isn’t better for “creative person” since the tools won’t make the artists.
By the way, mini-Pc are cheap which isn’t the case of Mac and it’s all i need to know. -

Yes with your latest post, hellfire, I am now certain you are totally clueless as to the definition of hysterical. You must be confusing it with “impatient” and “bored out of mind”.
And channel 4, you’re idiotic, because there are MAC MINIS with intel core duo that go for $500. Never heard of mini-pcs. Prolly just some broke companies ripping off of apple to make some cash as usual.
You obviously know nothing about computers if you think the only way to stop viruses is to have some crappy program report finding 10 viruses and not being able to delete any.
And don’t try that “Oh it has no viruses because it’s such a small percentage” because that’s WRONG. Hackers would see making a virus for mac as the ultimate challenge and would swarm all over it.
Either way, I still have yet to get a single virus for any of my macs. I have an imac from 1999 that’s still running in perfect condition. -

Minis are just a hardware scale. They are not a rip off of either side. A lot of people make the mistake of thinking Microsoft invented PCs. PCs are just the original computer hardware. I like them more because of how much more you can do with the hardware, I built mine from scratch (gotta love Tiger Direct.)
It’s true what Hiro says about Macs and viruses. Same reason you get none in Linux too, if you know how to set up the security. It’s not simple, but that’s the spirit of Linux, more power for those who know how to use it. It’s all about blocking the stuff. Once it’s in, you’re screwed.
Hiro, I think you DO rant too much. BE PATIENT. Data will do a Mac port when he pleases. You don’t need to hound him. It is impractical from a programmers perspective to do a port in application development until the app is done.
