Download Test Build 11!This can safely be installed directly over the previous build (10, duh), and has the following improvements:

  • Skeletons’ first official appearance, with proper effects.
  • The new guys bring a new gun: the Blunderbuss!
  • Problems with engine sounds getting stuck have been fixed - maybe?
  • Scroll bars in lists now work 100%… just for you, crazy modders!
  • The AI for the ships that are empty now don’t try to take off at first opportunity, but land gracefully and wait for manual control. This is a temporary solution until AI mode control is implemented.
  • Slowdown bug when guys gib on impact has been fixed. Also digging to the bottom of the world shouldn’t slow down anymore either. (Guess why these two bugs were related!?)
  • Some sound samples added and improved.
  • As always, lots of small random polishes here and there.

    I found that with the last version - try downloading to a different place. It seems Windows does some odd caching that I didn’t know about (thoroughly bizarre). Anyways, good job Data, this is coming along very nicely.

    Damn right Windows does some odd caching, I’ve uninstalled CC, deleted the original setup, and have left nothing except for a folder of mods, and it still doesn’t work. I also tried installing to a different place, that didn’t work either. :(

    Any ideas?

    Try deleting your browser cache (temporary internet files) and then redownload.

    As I say, I had the same problem last time - deleted the file, emptied cache + everything from browser, etc. etc. but it was always the same version that got downloaded somehow. I fixed it by downloading to a different place. I didn’t know Windows did this behind the scenes until then!

    Man, I love skeletons! And the new weapon is so *brutal*! I love it!

    Awesome, I only found two bugs were the skeletons sometimes drill themselves into the ground and when i take a screen shot its mostly black with some cyan and magenta and yellow dots giving a barely see able outline of the map.

    Every time I try to play some error saying abortion in file .\managers\AudioMan.cpp,line 65 because:Unable to init audio!
    The last frame has been dumped to ‘abourtscreen.bmp
    What ever will i do?

    the skeleton is awsome. and ive found two ways to get over the fact he has no jet pack.the skeleton is mega light. give him any gun with continuos fire a.k.a. one of the diggers and he’ll take off. down side i cant dig with him. but ill get over it. also i loaded hime with a concreat gun

    Please make customizable joystick controls a priority for the next build. I have a regular Xbox controller that I use to play Cortex Command, and it does not work with the current version.

    Before I go and ruin the code, and have to fix it, anyone care to tell me if the price change bug has been fixed?

    Ya know, the one where setting any weapons gold cost differently caused the game to have an error at “Devices.ini line 370″?

    You can make everything (weapons,actors,ships) free, EXCEPT SMG… Its weird, the goldcost for it has to be 20 or 25 or there will be that error on line 370 Devices.ini

    Uh, not sure why but the rockets still take off as soon as I switch actors. The readme file says version 11, not sure how to check the exe though.

    Sadly both this version and version 10 don’t work on my computer; the game runs, but the display only updates if I grab the window and move it. My graphics card is an ATI Radeon 9600, if that helps.

    It’s as if it never gets the buffer switch command, or something like that.

    you should make a night version of the map jus make a dark blue background and put a few flood lights and add a few changes to the map ….

    You canot make SMG’s worth 0 but you can make them worth a negitive number ex.-200,000. That way so when you buy an SMG you GAIN money. or atleast it works that way on the current one. One more thing if you make the Blunderbuss fully auto you guy explodes. Its kinda interesting. Just so you know! :)

    -200,000. It is typed in the devices area -200000 (negitive sign is a dash). Have fun ;)

    i just cleard my computer of stuff and virises and the full screen worked for a second than everything went torquoise and yellow and pink and all thes other colers but u were still capable of playing the game its just the colers were all weird

    I have an idea for the next update that I think would be pretty cool. how about a kill-count so that we have some kind of measurement of how far we’ve gotten? not necessarily a high-score table or anything, but something in-game that lets you see exactly how many enemies you’ve destroyed. eh?

    This game is going to be great, most fun I’ve ever had with a test build. It’s one of those games where it’s almost as much fun to die as it is to survive :P

    yeah u make a folder when u install it look in my computer precatio c: then program files find data realms
