    Fujima.. it’s a cursor for when you want to select a different body. It appears if you hold down either switch button for half a second. When you let go, control switches to the meat puppet nearest to the cursor.

    I’m glad game will still bring more stabiliy and functionality every new version instead of degraduating. And after all, i will surely will buy game to support your work. As developer too, i know what is spending lots of time on project, and your work should be payed well. Btw, that would be very good if there will be webmoney-pay way because i do not want use cc’s or other payment method.

    Data, just freaking release it already. You can update it if there are any bugs, and there IS ENOUGH NEW CONTENT ALREADY! You dont need to add any more before the release, you know. This isnt Halo 3 Half-Life 2, or Crysis, you can update it regularly.

    lol, I disagree with sacane111. it couldn’t be any glitchier than our build now, so if there isn’t much complaints now than there won’t be for the next build. heck there would be more happy people than people saying “OMG ROBOTZ R BUGED” and if there are people like that, then they really need to learn what data went through. putting all of that to the side, I think data should go with the new brain. I don’t like it, but I could just switch it and the I’d have a choice. :)

    Wow, red really pwned green there. Did they each have their own bases, or was it like the human vs. ai we play now, where green just attacks, but has no base? That’s probably some secret feature we’ll find out about later.

    DAta, I say keep it as long as you can to iron out the bugs. This is going to be the first commercial release, right? We don’t want you rushing this out and putting off newbies ’cause it’s buggy.

    This looks pretty fucking awesome, it’s going to be twice as satisfying to gib a clone with an assault rifle now with the more awesome models. And the ai making its own tunnels too, when digging tunnels, will the AI dig under enemy troops for the path of least resistance? and does it allocate some of its troops to defense of the AI brain?

    data, did you put anything like secondary functions on guns or crouching with clones in? if not do you plan on doing so?

    Crouching and crawling are both in. The AI will also know when to crawl when the headroom is too low. That’s how they managed to fill up the tunnels so completely with their own bodies…

    I have several questions though…

    Are you planning on ever implementing any sort of melee attacks or weapons?

    Are you planning on adding a prone position in addition to crouching/crawling? Now or ever?

    Does crouching/crawling effect anything with HDFirearms, TDExplosives, or HeldDevices, such as accuracy or new stance offsets?

    How much will it cost at first? I know this question must be getting annoying, but a general estimate would be highly appreciated. 5$? 10$? 15$

    What happens is if we buy it now, we get the full game, and as data releases later and later versions, the price increases.(So if we buy this version, we have a discount. (P .S.you dont need to buy every new version)
    At the end when we have a full game, which we bought for a vastly discounted price. We then can buy mod packs to add on to the base game. Or mod it ourselves of course.

    Also, is there anything new with TDExplosives?

    Because in the current build, there is no way to give an actor that is already in the game a TDExplosive that he can pick up and throw; he has to have them in his order.

    And, there’s no control of the speed the MOPixels/MOSparticles/MOSRotating explosion effects. The exploded parts should work the same as gibbing does, with MinVelocity & MaxVelocity. Or, for simplicities sake, make TDExplosives simply gib when the TriggerDelay is done.

    3. If you look to the skeleton on the left whos halfway down the screen digging, you can see to the diagonal left-down of him something that looks like bones…. you adding fossils data?

    The fossils are probably like the rocks, but with a material of bone. Doesn’t exactly look like an archaeological dig; they probably don’t have anything too special about them other than adding something new to the underground.

    Although… an archaeological dig could make for an interesting mission.

    In 9 hours even the tightest base with top-class defence couldnt survive an onslaught like that. Especially not 9 hours.

    MRX, Doors are in.. there were three door modules in the bunker above, but they’re pretty much obliterated.

    Elevators are probably possible with the door code, haven’t experimented with them yet.

    Elevators could get tricky…like, if something died on top of one it’d get stopped by the new terrain following the current physics. It could be done, but then imagine the slowdown from those piles of dead bodies…ick.

    More on-topic, this looks great! And only a week or two more to wait? That’s insane. To tell the truth I expected more time before the first beta build. I just hope I can convince… a certain someone… to help me get this game.

    Data: how will missions work. Are they affected by user mods, are they played like skirmish maps, ect. ect.

    Awsome! now we have official doors. As for the elevator idea, it should stop when people die on it, that would be better than twisted physics. I can imagine it now: a small brain module with an elevator leading up and then when it’s going up 4 dead guys fall on it and it stops moving. you’d have to dig around if you wanted to get to your base. :)

    “Twisted” in this case meaning realistic. If someone dying on an elevator is enough to stop it, it won’t remain useful for long at all. If there’re gonna be elevators, they need to be more resilient than that.

    @ carp: when I was saying the twisted physics thing I was comparing both ideas of the elevator stopping and the people falling through idea I’ve never in my life seen somone fall thorugh a floor when they die so I don’t mean realistic when I said twisted. I think after, lets say, ten dead bodies die on the elevator it would stop. the challenge would be keeping the elevator clean. oh, and if it does stop working you should be able to fix that by bringing in a guy with a digger. he’ll be able to clean the elevator off and it will start running again.

    @ Foogooman: I think that has something to do with their jetpacks. correct me if I’m wrong.

    You mean like a limit on its strength? Makes sense. It’d also set a neat limit on capacity(besides area).
    Hm…it’d probably be advisable to set up parallel elevator shafts for cleaning purposes.
    Data: Are there horizontally oriented doors(hatches? I’m thinking of something one could open to deliver troops, and close afterwards. If those were implemented along with elevators, I think it’d expand the game groundward.

    Data, two brief if you’ve the time..

    During that battle, did the AI have the intelligence to dig through their own massed corpses, or were they trapped after the first hour? And do they spawn with intelligent loadouts, for example diggers when needed, minimal weapons when not?

    I guess I’ll be lucky enough to find out in a week, but curiosity is hard to deny =)

    Things that I want most:

    Dropships can be stood upon without stuff dying.
    Dropships can be removed from the buy menu but not from the base editor.
    Crabships can be stood upon without stuff dying.

    Also, your A.I. is really awesome. I just made this thing, and the A.I. reacts perfectly.
