i shall join you in this bump. zombie mods are exciting and fun, you dont need much to make it original and its usually simple coding.

im working on a zombie mod. it'll be out soon enough, once i get a few more weapons working, for some critique. at the moment it only has 3 actors (2 of which are identical but for some spriting changes), 2 guns (both of which are horribly satisfying to use) and an in progress mine. the blood effects are cool though, i just need to tweak them a little more.
long story short; you'll get your zombies soon enough, and they will splatter, and be balanced.

Call it the mother zombie, and make the attachable gib into weak zombie creatures. That would be epic, no-ones done that before, despite it being thought of many times. And add zombie thin emmitters in a few places. And make it MPAM sized. with no jetpack though. And assume it's too rotted to jump either.

all the actors in the first installment are going to be normal human actor sized, the complete zombie is going to be slightly larger and probably have a jump pack, but it should be at most 1.2 coalitions tall, so it can still get into tunnels and maul things. and it will soak up bullets like the plated bastard it will be, with probably a 2 part gibable torso (stomach gibable for gore and damage and the rest separately gibable).
there will also be bloated zombies (boom/splat) and maybe something "mother" ish, with babies spawning from any gibbed attachables and emitting a corrosive gas everywhere. the mother (if i make it) will probably be a brain unit.

someone get cracking on a lua scene where you defend the interior of the zombie cave from hordes of zombies, which after awhile start coming through the roof and floor

agree with him --^
i would be happy with any Lua "defend this place from zombies"

preferably a suburban terrain and a single small house made of gibbable objects (TOTAL DESTRUCTION)

i've been working on dynamic objects for a while too, but i've stopped for the moment because of the complexity behind them. i'll resume working on them once im done extracting and releasing the mammoth tank and working on the current zombie arsenal. the mine is still screwy ><
does cause zombies to bounce when it goes off though, and blows limbs off, which is a good thing :)

I'm surprised that this thread is still here.

But more surprised, there still isn't a proper zombie invasion mod around here. There is a demand for that, but no one seems to be engaged in making one.
