Post How to make a unitec-like M203?
I'm making a rifle with a GL and I want it to fire like the Unitec M16. I add the Grenade as tracer but it isnt firing the grenades. I also want it to be unitec independent, so i need to know how to make a smoke trail, too. thanks.

You should have explained how the unitec m16 works. Like many people, I would imagine, I don't have unitec downloaded, and I don't want to need to download on of the biggest mods out there jsut to understand your reference.

Does it fire the grenade as the first shot?
If so, then to replicate that, the RTTRatio needs to be set to the same number as the RoundCount. And your tracer should be the 'nade.

If it's got that whole "switch modes with digging AI setting!" thing going on, use the "duel mode device template" thingamajiggy. (hint: search feature)

Your smoke trail can be done by simply making an invisible emitter that emits smoke particles and attaching it to the grenade. The short flak cannon or whatever it is has a nice one, so you could just steal it.

It's the old school tracer thing.

Just dig up the code for the unitec one, maybe it launches an AEmitter first?

No Azukki in the Unitec you must press Z to cahnge the fire mode , RRR1 open the ini file search the magazine then search RTTRatio.

RTTRatio = 1 , so you will shoot first the the round then the tracer round , 1 normal then one tracer then one normal ...

No no no, in unitec you fire 30 bullets and 2 grenades (clipsize is 32)

I am triying to make my mod unitec independent so copypaste is not an option. my gun has 30 rounds magazine. i made RTT ratio 11 (original) didnt work. made it 30, no dice and I want the gun to fire 30 bullets and 2 grenades too.

Actually, copypaste makes it independant.

Independency on a mod means that it doesn't use anything other than vanilla and what is in the rte itself.

Do you have Unitec 1.4.0?
I you want to the gun fire 30 bullets and 2 grenades, change the RTT, if you want to insist in RTT = 11 and 30bullets with 2 grenades , I cant do anything.
