Please Note that this product is not compatible with Windows Vista.

Not everybody can use it.

This is fun to watch while listening to music.

Is there anyway to do this without my frame rate dropping to something around 1 FPS?

Framerate for the gif, or are you referring to the image in the above post?

With the amount of lag that would generate, you could probably listen to a whole album before it ends :0

I don't think you can use compression on gifs...though I could be wrong.

Sorry for being so vague... Can I record the gif without my game fps dropping to around 1 FPS (or lower)

Unless of course, you use screen capture software.

I've had this for a long time now, I've got windows vista and it works... Of course it came with Paint Shop Pro so it might be a different version.

To screen capture on a mac, press:
CMD + SHIFT + 4

This should help anyone trying to tutor Mac users on making GIFs.

Personally, I'd download the new Photoshop trial (http://tryit.adobe.com/uk/cs4/photoshopextended/?sdid=DPHEQ#) and then follow a video tutorial on youtube (like this one, http://tryit.adobe.com/uk/cs4/photoshopextended/?sdid=DPHEQ#), pausing as I go along.

Post Re: Making .gifs for Dummies
I miss that old times when I was recording MOVIES WITH FRAPS (!)
I was doing that with build 13 (second "!")
Can someone tell me, what changed? (I understand that changed a LOT, but why was it possible to record videos with Fraps, while Fraps only supports games/apps using Direct 3D?)

P.S. Sorry if this post is OFFTOPIC.
