Post Linux.
Cortex Command doesn't work in W.I.N.E., so it would be nice to have a version of Cortex Command for Linux.

I'm not saying immediately, for people thinking that.

Just find some WINE hacker and convince them to try to get it to work on CC.

I thought Linux was a myth. I mean I've heard legends of an incredibly terrible and useless computer operating system but I have never seen someone use it. On topic I don't think this will happen any time soon.

^ is a troll, a propaganda repeater or an idiot

The primary reason that I do not use linux is the fact that less apps are available due to something called a monopoly.
But look at servers.
Guess which OS powers your internet?
Guess which OS has superior multitasking?
Guess which OS does not assume the user is a brain dead idiot?
Guess which OS is more customizable?
Guess which OS is more efficient?
Guess which OS is not a pile of polished bloat?
Guess which OS is probably powering these fourms?

On topic:
I have gotten WINE to work with B20, I just forgot how.
In fact, it actually ran faster.

Guess which OS has only has only had like 3 playable games in its entire history.

If I cant play games on a computer why bother buying one. I meen macs are bad and Linux has them beet but thats not hard but windows XP has all OS's beaten.

Your argument is deeply flawed.

I could say that a multi thousand dollars custom made watch is worse than a 10 dollar watch found off wal mart because the latter has way more available wrist straps, via your logic.

The proper thing to say is that linux has less products for it, so I have less use for it, not linux sucks because there are less products for it.

Wrong.
I have sudoku, minesweeper, solitaire, chess... And theres a crapload of other games.
Not to mention wine works with a lot of things, so then I have Command and Conquer, need for speed...
(This is on Gentoo by the way, a version of linux.)

Linux is also FREE.
How much does Vista cost?
Oh, yeah! 200 bucks! Thats right!

You forgot the cost of asprin for vista.

Also, as a last resort if you have enough RAM, there is always a VM.

Oh yeah, Windows also sucks.
My PC has crashed and burned, I need to reserve a whole day just fix it!

My Linux install is very, very stable, and I've never gotten a virus on it.

But anyway, this has been asked before: without any concrete resolution. So really, we'll either have to get someone to do it ourselves or wait and see.

Post Re: Linux.
Here's my opinion on this. I'll try and take my fairest look at it all to prevent a flame war.

Windows: I use XP. Vista is a ♥♥♥♥ heap, not considering it in my explanation. 7 is meant to be good according to an educated, intelligent friend of mine.
- Windows has the market at the moment. If you want a program, you want windows. End of discussion.
- Windows has it's issues. not always stable, sometimes hard to work with, but generally enough people use it for their to be a fix for anything.
- has a lot of viruses.
- Windows is a computer for computer people. If you know what you're doing, it works perfectly.

Macintosh: Used it a few times now.
- logic is sound. Yeah, a tiny bit different from windows, but not much.
- programs available are awful. the only companies making for mac are basically Adobe (WOOO!) and Apple (*vomit*)
All windows users no the worst programs for windows are ones made by microsoft. Mac programs are slightly better, but not much. Adobe is great, even if you do need 3 uni courses to use it effectively.
- my biggest issue with mac is this: it doesn't let you in. Windows, you hit Ctrl+Alt+Del or bring up command line and you can do anything. Mac's closest is force quit and it doesn't cut it. I want my computer to acknowledge the fact I can use a computer very well, and let me freaking use it.
- my second biggest issue is hardware. Want mac? buy apple. Someone was talking about a monopoly earlier, but this is more of one. 'my mac needs upgrading' buy a new one. from apple. 'my mac broke' send it away to be repaired. to Apple. I want a mac. From apple.

Linux:
- a million versions of it, almost unfair considering it 1 OS.
- I haven't really used it. I like the idea BUT:
- same problem as mac: no programs.
- it has the reverse problem of mac: you need 3 uni degrees and 500 years of experience to set it all up and use it.

For all you TL;DRs
Windows wins because it has all the programs
Macs are great but need more programs, to let the user have full control when they need it and have a hardware monopoly (so their overpriced).
linuxes needs more programs and more accessibility.

Someone let me know when a linux kernel gets the support of the software developing community and BELIEVE ME I will use it.
