Numgun, whatever you do, please replace the MPAM's beam rifle with the muzzleflash beam with a semi-auto direction-aligned beam rifle.
It'd look so much better.

Do you mean make the beam be rectangular pieces of MOSR instead of the tiny balls covered by the large flash? I guess I can do that but I dont know how will it look like and function ingame... well see.

Im respriting some of the old prototype weapons for the MPAM and implementing them. The weapons include the gravity hammer, phase beam rifle, waverifle(changed into force rifle), missile launcher, Delivery claw and the giant bow. Possibly I'll implement the new Vector Rifle that is a mech's super gun or something. I need to figure how will it fire.

I would also prefer you to do this.

Also I don't like that gravity thing, I think it's just way too big.

The superweapon looks quite super to me. Shoulder-mounted, if you somehow made it snap upwards from the force of a shot immediately after the slug/laser bolt/barbeque sauce was fired, it'd convey a sense of power and also sort of restrict it to being used by superunits(MPAM,Oppressor,MARS) or end up gibbing your unit with one shot/the weight of it driving the unit through the map.

darlos, you'll only need to sprite on a large scale if you start doing epic bunkermodules, or superweapons, the former isnt too large scale, and the latter isnt really your style, so dont worry about feeling inadequate. size doesnt matter - to a degree. like if your tengus were ♥♥♥♥ tiny, theyd suck kinda hard.. but they arent. *redundant sentence*

Heh its actually held like a normal rifle, but whatever, I have rough idea what the new one will look like.

I also got a pretty good vision how the standard would be like. I'll call him a Striker and his weapons/equipment will be based on the Weissritter mech.
Its the partner unit for the Alteisen from the SRW universe.

Basically he's gonna have 2 rifles, maybe a front shield, (not decided on that)
and an energy blade. One rifle will be automatic shell/ballistic type weapon that deals high damage on a small scale and with a fast rate and the other rifle will be a slow firing semi-automatic energy based gun. It will function like the TER-prototype, except no arcing and much more powerful with large blast radius where the shot hits. A blade will be like the Katana from the BW:Mercs mod I'm making since its fun to use ect.


Now I've been thinking about making pre-loaded Mechs and make the weapons unbuyable for the the mechs and the marines. Mainly I dont want them to break when dropped because you are supposed to be able to pick them up and use incase your mech lost its gun or it got blown away. They arent mounted weapons so its just not cool. But then again, if I make the guns unbuyable, how will I be able to order replacements?

I'm quite certain you know without me saying it that I'm an advocate for more mechs.

I think the Weissritter is a bit too frou-frou for AAL though.

Another shameless plug goes here for Mechwarrior mechs--there are ones there that would fit AAL, y'know?

Hey numgun, could you add something like Darlos's chaff grenade that distracts enemies? I was thinking you could use small rockets that start looping after a while and emit flares.
