Usually when someone posts with a problem, they want some help.

@Allen: If it's really only with the health-not-showing enemies, it may be CharHeight bugginess. Check in the appropriate actor .ini for
Code:
CharHeight = <Highnumber>
and tweak it until the health is showing in a good place (compare it to other actor's CharHeight's) and see if it still causes problems.

Someone please tell me how to install this functionally. I have no idea how to edit .rte's or anything. I'm brand new to this style of game/editing, and I LOVE zombie mods.

I'd like to know what you think you accomplish by posting. Not just in this instance, but in all other threads you've posted in. Maybe you ought to think about it before you post ever again. Take as long as you need.

I think the actors in question are fundamentally different than others. Like the zombies from the Cemetery Scene. Like the zombies that are thrown out of the Zombie Mortar, or the little gray guys with the shotguns (I think, i never really get to look at them because the game crashes). They aren't part of the green team, it seems. I am not familiar with the jargon, so i don't know the term for them.

Does this still sound like a Character Height issue?

Sounds completely strange to me. I'm guessing youre on a mac?

The charheight should affect anything that could cause a crash. There are the flame bats which have their charheight set to very high so they wouldnt be visible, but they've never crashed for me.

When does the crash occur precisely? And can you run the other activity file (Boss mode only, ActDoomLord.ini) without problems?

Also yeah, the zombies chucked out of the mortar are on Team -1 which is hostile to every other team. Just like the pilots in AAL if you blow up a major AAL craft.

Download the file and paste it into your Cortex Command Folder (the one with Cortex Command and Base.rte in it.)

Then go into "missions.rte", then into "index.ini" and put two forward slashes ( // ) in front of "IncludeFile = Missions.rte/Activities.ini"

The downside is that some of the missions will dissapear from the map, but to fix that just get rid of the two forward slashes.

@numgun/Allen: CharHeight can cause that wierd stuff on the screen, that could cause problems. Or maybe the Mac build doesn't like "Team = -1."

In any case, it looks like Data forgot to, ahem, prepare for unforseen consequences.

i got it working, it was charheight on the assault mutant and the chainsaw zombies. just set it from 9999999 to 90 and it fixed it. Thanks though.

i recommend setting the spawn interval to 1000, by the way. It gets completely insane. Worthy of the service of the Ivan's space marines.

I wish this mod wasn't that open for people to contritube to it, because half of the zombies suck.
Zombies should be vanilla ones with some weapons like shovels, swords, hammers, etc.
Or maybe not any weapons like that, maybe they should just all have a claw, and some should have more health and better claws.

Speaking of which I plan on eventually someday making a unit for this.

No idea what it will be like, maybe a crab. we need more apocalyptic crabs.

Uh yeah sure, but that doesn't stop us from giving some critique. Alright maybe I was whining more than giving critique, but when I downloaded it I was expecting atleast some good actors. I really don't like skeletons with wings and small zombie gnomes.

I hope someone makes normal zombies with some normal melee weapons some time.
