Remember when the Combine occupied the entire world and made us all their downtrodden slaves and then that guy saved us with his crowbar? Can't wait to relive the horror from either side?
Presenting the new COMBINE OVERWATCH - reworked and streamlined for a new release.

-Subject yourself to an invasion of the squishiest enemy known to man - or experience the fear from the other end, as you command these hapless goons and watch them get mowed down by the dozen.
-The lowest price points you have ever seen on units. How do we afford to give you savings like these?
-HL2 sounds - units react to their environment with processed radio chatter, now with more efficient lua!
-Higher tiered units are better at using Combine weapons.
-Swamp your enemy with units and throw your keyboard across the room when one of their guys kills most of your combine soldiers, even when you were sure that they were in a state to preclude this sort of combat training.
-...and then send in the Synth Hunters! Watch these agile support units make mincemeat out of foes to the Combine.
-Now with the cut Combine Assassin. Even the odds and infuriate your opponent!
-Combine APC for fire support and mobile armor. Not made for mud.
-Engage in planetary resource removal with hordes of Stalkers.


-The One Free Man, based directly on Narkaleptic's Zombie Defense. Hope you're ready for fun


Includes a combine.lua file for BLOCKWARS or TARTARUS. Now with loadout for CC Campaigning!

0.85: Some stuff happened here
-Assassin 'dodge' buffed, getting closer to filling heavy role?
-Made standard troopers slightly squishier.
-Made them dumber and worse at shooting guns as well. Bad day to be a mook.
-Finally caved to pressure and added a Jetpack Elite. Will probably never live it down.
-The One Free Man game mode. And a Gordon Freeman actor, I suppose.
0.9: Minorstuffs
-Script updates to 1.05


NOTE: Get ready for only ONE GUY WITH A JETPACK and A COUPLE fancy features. Do you want victory for the combine so that you don't get shipped off planet permanently? Get ready to have at least two times as many guys as the enemy does.

CREDITS
Coops - Based on his original COMBINE faction for older builds.
CC48 - Many code nuggets. Flechette round is based on CC48 darts.
Mehman - His mobility script makes the Synths and Assassins go round.
Narkaleptic - Zombie Defense game mode, modified into One Free Man.
Gtaiiic - Sound files help
Ryry - Wounds that magically close up for OFM game mode.
Valve - HL2 is cool and you probably agree if you're here.
ID Software - oh those sounds

For some reason my Cortex command crashes when ever I go into a campaign battle... I tried with original faction vs Combine and Modded Faction vs Combine and it crashes every time I go into a battle...

This is awesome but I too crash in campaign. Along time back (build 18 I think) dragster made a headcrab canister with Head crabs for CC. is there any chance we could see a revisited version of it for shelling the enemy? maybe the zombine to boot :twisted:
Edit: also is it me or does the hunter have the wrong sounds and jump uncontrollably forward every few seconds?

So the campaign crashing is because of a pretty silly oversight. For those who already have it: Go into your Loadouts.ini in CMB.rte and change "PresetName = CMB.rte/Hunter" to "PresetName = CMB.rte/Combine Hunter"

For the rest of you - the download should be fixed now!

As for the Hunter sounds - I don't know how to get to them. If someone would like to provide it for me, please be my guest! I'd be glad to have them in the mod pack.

I had considered the headcrab shell cannon - but this is pretty much another story for another month. Enjoy the infantry for now!

Edit: Just a little heads up, you forgot to make it so the brainbot spawns with a digger. I went ahead and changed the loadout for you so you didnt have to :P I made it drop with a medium digger.

Hmmm looking back on this I didnt know if you meant to do that intentionally or not. But it sure does mess up things on harder difficulties

Used a Hunter on the Tutorial Mission...
Only survivor was the crab.
He is quite bugged tho: he tends to keep floating around when I press jump, and some other minor stuff.
