Shields

So far the only shield in the game is the riot shield, but judging by the fact that shields have their own subcategory on the purchase menu it is safe to say there will be more shields added to the game later.

Riot Shield

Riot shields are simple defensive equipment capable of taking a few bullets so your actor doesn't have to. It is still possible to hit the legs and feet of an actor with a riot shield, though. For this reason it is best to stay low to the ground when hiding behind a shield.

If an actor has both a riot shield and a pistol in its inventory, both can be used at the same time (one in each hand) by selecting the pistol (the shield will automatically be equipped in the other hand). Use this combo when you are pinned down, and need to fight back.
