Love the new medium, now all you need is a heavy and a dreadnought of some kind...

Yeah, a really tough heavy, that's hard to kill.

Also, Don't do a dreadnaught, They're boring and over-used.
Have some kind of tank hybrid thing with a minigun.

Also call them gharials.

Have that thing as a dreadnaught, gun poking out it's mouth.

Well with the clip size, fire rate, power, it's more like a D.Eagle, which aren't the fastest hand guns around, partly because of the recoil they give off. Just curious, why'd you think it was going to resemble a five-seven because of the name? :P It could be construed into anything... I mean, maybe someone expected "Pecker" to be another designator, only with a giant seagull coming down from the tradestar and ripping apart the enemies with its beak. Unless, y'know, they read the word after pecker.

Giant Crocodile tank would be awesome :D Maybe make teeth that are AEmmiters and insert your laser bayonet code into each one.

I was saying that the name doesn't sound like a powerful, slow gun, because 'pecker' is not a powerful word. It lacks weight. I associate Five-seveN's with pecking because while the ammunition isn't exceptionally massive, it can pierce through things with pretty decent accuracy. What I'm saying is that just because it is similar to a Desert Eagle, does not mean that the name fits it being a Desert Eagle. A pickaxe is more similar to a Desert Eagle than a bird's beak is.
And yes, it could indeed mean anything, but the image I get of pecking is a pigeon looking for crumbs, not a bird of prey swooping down on an innocent rabbit. Consider the following- "The hawk dove at tremendous speeds toward it's prey, it's razor-sharp talons readied to gouge the poor animal should it attempt to escape," verus "The hawk dove at tremendous speeds toward it's prey, it's razor-sharp beak ready to peck the poor animal should it attempt to escape." The second sentence sounds ♥♥♥♥ retarded. And no, I don't know jackshit about hawks.
I'm just saying that 'pecker' is not a sledgehammer of a word.

True. But the second sentence sounds like the kind of stuff I'm used to writing :P I get what you're saying though.

And it's special... not retarded :O

Nice, but these guys aren't really religious in any way :P
Cool name though.

Anyway, the Decapitator shotgun is the most satisfying shotgun I've used since the first time I used an Avenger, but it seems to carry an odd curse- he who lives by the Decapitator dies by decapitation. At least 90% of the troops I sent into battle using one died as a direct result of gibs from something, usually that they shot, hitting them in the head. Of course, often these were gibs of large actors or dropships, so it may be that the name just makes me focus on it more, but even so it is an amusing coincidence.

Lulz, yay for curses :3

Yeah, you're probably right, but the problem is that i couldn't think of any other name for it :P

Would you consider adding a knife or something, perhaps a rebranding of the Slasher bayonet minus the gun component, for the faction?

Oh yes, they'll get a melee weapon at some point. Don't expect a working gun attached
to it though, as that can ♥♥♥♥ up your game :P

Yeah, you're right. I'm fully open for more massive names for the Pecker.

Call your pistol the Snapper. It's accurate, seems like strong recoil. Plus, it'll totally keep all these croc lovers happy.

Cool name though.

I didn't intend it to be religious- the name is just mythological, and it was the only SHK acronym I could think of. Anyway, I agree that Snapper sounds better, but there's already a flaregun with that name.

Well, they aren't superstitious either for that matter. Most of them are
realists, as a matter of fact :0

But the main point of this post is to tell you all that i'm about as slow as a slug,
so you shouldn't be waiting too anxiously for an update. I could of course just
chuck an SMG your way, but that would hardly be an update, and it wouldn't
be very nice either, seeing that i promised you a designator :P
So yeah, don't hold your breath.

Thanks :D

Also, i am happy to be able to tell you that i'm making great progress with
the Heavy Soldier.

Image

Background leg, arms and feet still need to be resprited, but else he's pretty much done.
This guy is TOUGH, and it wouldn't surprise me if he singlehandedly held back an advancing
army. He's a bit vulnerable in the back, but he can still take a formidable amount of punishment.
As in, 300 non-penetrating (No exit wound) shots. If you do manage to pierce the armor,
don't expect too much, as his immense toughness allows him to take even less damage than
the medium soldier. An army of one, you might say. He's bloody expensive though, costing
a whopping 400 oz. I might make a weak-spot on his back though, like a life-support system or something.
There's no breathing holes in that helmet y'know :P
Expect him in the next update :3

P.S. Yes, his helmet is segmented. Outer front, outer back and inner helmet.
